Luke, Ah, got it, thanks. And if I ask for all four types, then TERRAIN is presented as a superset of ROADMAP. That works.
So - one thing I've been wondering forever. How come Google Maps doesn't offer Topo as a built-in map type? I know we're getting a sophisticated API for free so this is hardly a complaint, and I know I can add topos to google maps with a bit of hassle. But really, for many applications - like backpacking or river running say - access to topos is essential. Insights?
