In case you want to reuse your example elsewhere, note that the basePicasaWebUrl value in your code example is missing a trailing "/" mentioned in the docs<http://code.google.com/apis/picasaweb/docs/2.0/developers_guide_protocol.html>, though it apparently doesn't matter.
Is there a way for an installed app to set its own redirect_url? The desktop app I'm working within is registered with the OS as the handler for certain urls, so if I could set the redirect_uri, the user wouldn't have to do any cut-n-paste and it would all just be automatic once they granted access.
