Yes, I do use the desktop application, fun and easy to use for an
amateur...  I've been very busy placing all the irreplaceable shots,  very
old ones etc into albums and sending them off to Google +  ... so no harm
done and I'll just wait and see what transpires...  by the way where are
you based...  I'm in Australia,  I do a great many travel and history blogs
which is where the Picasa ease of use comes in handy...
