I am going to require this of you - that you learn to use cURL with the -v
option.  It's available on all platforms, including Mac OS X.  When you ask
for help, cut/paste the full HTTP conversation, including the command-line
you used to invoke curl.  That is the only "I did this, and this happened"
testimony that I'm going to expend any effort on - If it didn't happen when
you were using cURL, it didn't happen.  After you've got the whole process
working in cURL, we can look at "running the code through a browser" if you
still want to do that (I suspect you won't).

Learning to use cURL is a fantastic investment in your web-coding future,
aside from being useful for this discussion.
