I downloaded GTalk and it automatically installed Gmail notifier. GMail Notifier, sends pop up messages when new mail is received and you're able to click on the message box which will open up your mail and you're able to access your email inbox, even if you are NOT signed in to GMail. I am using a shared computer and this feature allows anyone at the computer to get into my Gmail. I can't find any way of disabling Gmail notifier because it was downloaded via GTalk. So, I ended up uninstalling GTalk. I love GTalk, but is there anyway to download GTalk without it automatically installing GMail Notifier as well??? Or, once you download GTalk, is there anyway to disable the Gmail notifier???
