The XEP-172 tell us the knowledge about nickname.
My purpose is to rename a contact(may be for easy to remember). Now I
have solved this problem.I achieve this as follows:
just sends
<iq type='set'>
<query xmlns='jabber:iq:roster'>
<item jid='[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
name='rename-here'>
</item>
</query>
</iq>
to our server. It is very similar to "Adding a friend"", isn't it?
