I have to imagine that the new format is going to eventually replace
the current one. Luckily I actually like the new look. It let's you
put a little more color on the page, but I find that I really have to
be a little more creative with the footers because they seem to tie
the theme together more than they used to. Also, the functionality of
some of the widgets is more robust in the new design. Specifically,
gmail gives you a more complete experience as well as the newsreader.
All of the features are not working completely yet but you can see
where they are headed. I think that if you give the new format a try,
you will eventually grow to like it better. At least I hope so.
