Here's an easy way to switch between the two formats. Add a pair of
bookmarks to your browser's toolbar folder.
In the first one, I called it "IG v 1" and the bookmark is
"javascript:_dlsetp('v2=1')".
For the second one, "IG v 0" and the bookmark is
"javascript:_dlsetp('v2=0')"
The version zero one is the old format and the version one one is the
new format. Now you can quickly switch between formats and not have
to go back to the backup and restore processes that sometimes undo
things that you might want to keep.
Also, if you haven't added the iGoogle themes manager (http://
www.google.com/ig/directory?hl=en&url=gad.getpla.net/theme_mgr/theme_mgr.xml)
I would definitely suggest trying it out. It keeps a list of every
theme you apply and lets you quickly select different ones to try out
and even lets you control your cache. Very helpful.
