So everything is still messed up in the world of iGoogle themes. But
ill let you guys in on a little secret.
Google doesn't care!

there are more than enough themes currently in the directory for
Google's marketing ploy to work. If you look at things from Google's
perspective, iGoogle is just a way for google to push their products
onto users. the whole custom theme thing was only introduced to help
make the iGoogle "brand" more appealing to users.

Heres a news flash guys. Google is in fact a company. they may not be
a particularly evil company offering free access to GMail, calendars,
an online office suite, maps etc etc But they are still a company and
companies need money.

iGoogle custom themes have fulfilled their intended purpose.
Its time I think for people to let it go. I know it sucks but its the
truth. and I am sorry for all the effort and hours you all put in. I
have seen a lot of talent here and it's a shame that many themes do
not make it into the directory any more. To you, I wish you all good
luck in your future design oriented endeavours.

I am not a pessimist, I am a realist.
