I am into design also I have a chat forum and a dating site. I have also have designed numerous web pages for individuals. I have a large monitor too but I still hate the new interface. I have read lots of people complaining about it. The cure for the problem is having an option so you can choose to use the new interface or not. It should be an individuals choice just like many other sites give you that option.
