We are burning enough phosphors on this and home page in general. Yet, we have not seen any even decent attempts to recognize and/or respond by Google. It seems to get too FAT and lost focus. I will now seriously explore Safari, RATS!
Any designers/developers who worked on a large scale project would agree on a top few common and basic principles. E.g., 1. No design will satisfy all sectors, so provide them with a few choices/options. On the other hand, too many choices/options increase complexity, hence reliability and maintenance challenges. Thus the key success factor is rational balance. Extreme dogma does not serve the purposes well. 2. Do not get call different function with the same name. They cause confusion and communications difficulties. E.g., G-mail on left tab is NOT G-mail, but crippled or lite version (at best) as described below. Hot links does not work; etc. Yup -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeff Sent: Friday, October 24, 2008 5:29 PM To: Google Themes API Subject: Re: left side "tabs" I agree with Kevin. I'm work in a design studio and all the designers here like the left tab. We all work on large monitors, which might make a difference. But I like having the left tab organization. It's quick and easy to switch between different parts of my igoogle page. My only complaint is that when I click on certain links, "gmail" for example, I don't get the full functionality of the application. In gmail, links aren't active and, when I reply, I cannot add attachments. I'm hoping Google adds to this moving forward. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Themes API" group.
