I've had my iGoogle theme "Chill" online for several months (probably more than half a year). When Google switched to the new layout, I made some tweaks to the theme and republished the theme following the guidelines.
Today I noticed that Google finally accepted the theme – but they did not update the old theme, instead now there are two themes (the old and the new).
