Regarding the word "acciocche" in Italian. The translation given is "lest." I am not sayng that this translation is not applicable, but I feel it does not fully reflect the meaning of this work. Lest means "in fear of." Acciocche, as a conjunction, means "in order that", or simply, "that". I submit as my reference "An Italian and English Dictionary" by Hjalmar Edgren, PhD. Page 8 under "accio." This book is downloadable in Google books.
