Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback.  Google Translate does however remember the
previous languages you have translated, and they are listed in the top
of the selector as recently used pairs.  We realize this is still not
perfect though, and be sure we're working on some other ideas to
improve language selection.

As for selection of text, on the input side, it is a plain vanilla
text area, so it shouldn't be any harder to select text there than
anywhere else.  On the translation side, we're aware of a few was text
selection can be troublesome and we're fixing those soon.
