First off the change to allow you to choose alternate translations is
very nice and much better than the previous interface.
I use Google Translate mainly to learn new words etc. There is a
problem in the new format.

When you hover on the translated text, it highlights the portion which
it has translated. This 1 to 1 correspondence breaks down when letters
with non standard English letters such as é or î come in the original
text.

There seems to be a direct relation between the offset of the
highlighted text and the number of occurrences of such letters.
The translation itself is not affected in anyway. But nonetheless this
problem is there. I use French--> English.

Hope this helps in some way.
