Greetings,

I am an international student in the United States. I have been away
from my home country for a major part of my life. However, I do follow
news, posts and blogs relating to my country. But, as you could
imagine, I am rather slow at reading material written in my mother
tongue, Nepali.

After my frequent use of Google Translate for my Spanish courses, I
have become fond of this user-friendly innovation. In accord with
Google's mission statement, this innovation has further made "world‘s
information universally accessible." To further serve this purpose it
would be marvelous - and I would be grateful - if more languages would
be added to Google Translate. Hence, I would like to request the
concerned party (if this is the apt method of reaching you) to add,
among others, my language, Nepali, onto the translation tool.

There is a multitude of Nepalese all around the globe that would be
much appreciative of this inclusion. Nepal is a fascinating country.
It is the world’s newest federal democratic republic.

Nepal stands out dividing China and India with her beautiful and
breathtaking breasts, the Himalayas. In this colossal range, Nepal
mothers 8 of 10 world’s highest peaks including the highest at 8,850
(and still growing) Mount. Everest.

The political metamorphosis of Nepal, from autocracy to federal
democratic republic, has transpired through dark, disdainful and
dreadful events that include the Royal Family Massacre of 2001, the
dethronement of the new King in 2008 and (debatably) the election of
one Marxist leader as the first Prime Minister after the abolition of
the monarchy system.

Despite the lamented past, Nepal, optimistic as always, rises and
rejuvenates again in the hopes and prayers of every house.
Nepal has been referred to in the songs of Bob Seger and in the hearts
of The Beatles and The Doors for being a transcendental,
spiritualistic and inspiring confluence of artistic elements and
cultural experiences. It is, therefore, not surprising that “NEPAL” is
often believed to be an acronym for Never Ending Peace And Love.

I am hopeful of a positive response for my request on the inclusion of
Nepali language as an option on Google Translation and so, I thank you
in anticipation. The Google team has already offered a variety of
languages on the tool, which is highly commendable. And, as expected
of the ever expanding and innovative company, I am quite certain there
well be more languages that will be included on the tool...soon.

Sincerely,
Ashish Shrestha
