This is not the first time it's been brought up here, but I've never seen a useful answer. Translate will not translate romanized Japanese, only Japanese input in Japanese characters. Try as I might, I've never been able to get any Windows computer to input Japanese, so this means I cannot translate commonly referenced romanized phrases like "kamishimo o nugu". Instead of translating romanized Japanese, it just echoes the phrase I typed in on the English side.
