We would like to use the Google Translate Web Element on our internal website. We have to support Internet Explorer 8.
Because of compatibility issues we have to use the setting *'Document Mode IE7-Standards*' for *IE8* (apache httpd.conf: Header set X-UA-Compatible IE=EmulateIE7). A first translation works once a language is selected via drop-down menu. However, *javascript errors happen once the button 'Show original' is clicked on* or another language is chosen for a translation afterwards. Error: *The object does not support this action. http://translate.googleapis.com/translate_static/js/element/3/element_main.js, Line 103 Character 239* You can see the error as well on: * http://translate.google.com/translate_tools* by using Internet *Explorer 8*with the setting ' *Document Mode IE7-Standards*' (by clicking on F12 and changing the value to 'Document Mode IE7-Standards'). Just translate the text and press on the button 'Show original' afterwards. Do you have an idea what goes wrong and what we could do? Thank you very much for your support! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General" group.
