The text to speech function from Google Translate is perfect. I want to use this functionality on my own website, where people study (foreign) languages. The TTS is a good way to support this learning.
But when I embed a TTS button on my site, the url ( http://translate.google.com/translate_tts?tl=en&q=test ) is returning a 404, instead of an MP3 sound file. This is because of the referer. I know there are workarounds for this protection, but I need a feature that is approved by Google, since I'm an advertising partner. Is it possible to let Google make an exception for my website as referer, or are there alternative APIs? Of course I don't mind paying for the API. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General" group.
