Hi oxeimon, One solution you might want to use is to "add" a French keyboard that will then appear on the bottom right corner of your desktop.
If you're using a Windows operating system, click "Start" (bottom left), "control panel", "regional settings", "add keyboard" and add "French". When you go back to your desktop, when clicking on the blue "EN" at the bottom right side of your desktop, you'll see "FR" appear, click on it. This takes half a second. Then enter your text according to the French keyboard. "é" will be on number "2", "è" on number 7, etc. Don't know if it helps.
