If you are seeing boxes instead of Hindi characters, your system doesn't have the right font loaded. Using a search engine, you should be able to find a Unicode Devanagari font and install it. Then close your browser and restart. This should let your see the text in Hindi.
Translate should work with a Wikipedia page using the URL (address), and copy/paste from the Wiki article should work just fine. What operating system and web browser are you using?
