"1.3 Appropriate Conduct and Prohibited Uses. The Service may be used only for
services that are accessible to your end users without charge."
"By way of example,
and not as a limitation, You agree that when using the Service, You
will not, and will not permit your end users or other third parties
to..."

"...copy, store, archive, republish or create a database of results returned
from the service, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, except that you
may store results in a temporary cache for a period not to exceed Fifteen (15)
days solely for the purpose of using those results to carry out a specific
user-requested..."

So it says by way of example, not as a limitation....which sounds flexible and
vague.
"By way of example, You agree...." What example, are the statements that follow
optional and suggested? That's how it reads.

Anyway,
So when not providing a service myself, is it permissible to use the Ajax API
to append to existing Open Source projects?
eg: I've seen projects with entire help files converted using GT. Also see
commercial entities using GT to translate general PDF docs into another
language, and offer those language PDFs availble, "courtesy of GT."

That's all I'd like to know. The terms don't address this, and leave it open.
There's nothing to interpret from the terms, because this type of situation is
not addressed.
Thank you,
