Great, glad we are on the same page. I'm however alittle confused as to how a control with a main focus around displaying information for a "range" of time does not view the display of the "range" (the only indication to the user what they are selecting) as a major issue.
There is currently no deterministic way for the user to select a range within your control itself. The only way to do this is external and then refreshing the control using the start and end dates. And unfortunately, when they use the user controls within the timeline, that they cannot get the results they expect.
