Hi Hendrik. If you want to use this functionality of the Google chart api, you need to use a different visualizations, specifically a visualization from the ImageX family. For examples, take a look in the playground, for example ImageChart<http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/#image_chart> or ImageLineChart<http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/#image_line_chart> . There is also the documentation of the generic ImageChart<http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/genericimagechart.html> .
This functionality is not available in the current scatter chart you are using. Notice however that if you switch to the image charts visualization, you would have no tooltip and events.
