I'm hoping they willl just keep the image charts going. I'm in the same boat. Sure the new jsapi charts are great for displaying on a website but they are absolute no good if you need to embed into a PDF report. TCPDF has its own charting library but its nowhere near as powerful as the google API.
Someone was toying around with using HTML5 to write the chart to a canvas and then export that canvas to an img somehow.. but I dont know if that would work. Maybe they'll keep the charts alive past 4/20/2015.
