If you add scaleType: 'mirrorLog' to an axis (typically the vAxis), the axis will show negative values and 0 values. Since the log of a negative number is not possible, your negative data values are converted to the negative of the log of the positive value. Zero would also not show up on a strict log scale, since the log of 0 is negative infinity, but with mirrorLog, we show it anyway, and the area around 0 is scaled linearly.
