I think there has to be a control mechanism for a robot. With the feature of "hot deploy" a new version of your robot (and not changing the version number) you could create a simple "everyone darling robot". Change the code to some kind of not so nice functionality and deploy. I'm sure you can remove participants in some weeks, but it does not change what has been done by the robot. Somehow you have to have the possibility to check e.g. a signature of a robot. If it will change you get a message (wave creator).
