Once damage has already been done though, this won't be very helpful.
That's sort of like saying "You can remove a virus once it has already
infected your computer and deleted your important files."

There needs to be something proactive in place to prevent a robot/
gadget from running. A user not only needs to be the one that adds the
virus, but also the one who enables it to have access to parts of the
wave.

In example. A user installs a robot. Maybe via a dialogue box, they
have the opportunity to enable that robot permission to join a wave,
another option to enable it to add things to the wave, and another to
allow it to edit parts of the conversation.

Users need to have control over all aspects of the gadgets/robots, or
else someone will have the ability to create robots/gadgets that can
be destructive. The creators could maliciously make the gadgets look
like something they are not (like trojans) and then users might
install those gadgets, become infected by them, and they could then
cause harm upon that user's wave.
