Reduced test case:

                        PhoneHandle handle1 = rc.create(PhoneHandle.class);
                        PhoneHandle handle2 = rc.create(PhoneHandle.class);
                        
                        assert !handle1.equals(handle2);

throws because serverId is null in SimpleEntityProxyId
