Hopefully not that drastic. Imagine a world where all current GWT features 
are libraries possibly maintained by individuals. People/Companies 
evaluating GWT could start to think "Hmm I wonder how long these libraries 
will be maintained if only a single person is responsible for it. Maybe I 
should not choose GWT if I want something with long term maintenance.". GWT 
could loose some value then.


Thanks for mentioning Swagger though, I already knew it but forgot its name 
so I had chosen flatpack-java instead for illustration as both work pretty 
much the same: schema + client api generator + server that is able to 
produce that schema at runtime.
