Hopefully not that drastic. Imagine a world where all current GWT features are libraries possibly maintained by individuals. People/Companies evaluating GWT could start to think "Hmm I wonder how long these libraries will be maintained if only a single person is responsible for it. Maybe I should not choose GWT if I want something with long term maintenance.". GWT could loose some value then.
