Hi All, Better OSGi support would be great: right now we bundleize everything manually. The fat gwt-servlet jar pulls in a lot of 'stray' platform extension packages, e.g. javax.servlet which whould be provided by proper osgi-ified platform extension libraries. It's annoying to do it manually, but still less work than providing a proper script to do it automatically. When 2.6.0 will be here I'll have another item on my TODO list.
I have experimented with creating bundles for everything: even the source packages which are not needed at run-time, after GWT compilation. It leaves the door open to 'compile at deployment-time': have the web application updated at the server-side when new bundles are added dynamically. Currently not used in production, though. But we do use the bundles-only approach for GWT libraries (bundleized) and application source for real, we just leave them out of the packaging process further down the line.
