you could also give a shot to a couple of other pure GWT libraries: 1) ItMill (http://www.itmill.com/) 2) Ext GWT or GXT (http://extjs.com/products/gxt/)
both are a bit less mature than the javascript-based ExtJs, but are quite decent. GWT 1.5 on its own is also starting to catch up in terms of widgets.
