I'm agree with you .

But a good machine , of course ,  perform better .

I use an intel quad overclocked at 4.2 GHZ  on a 64 bit OS with 4GB of
memory , and have no pbs .

If you use the latest enhancement of the gwt compiler your compilation time
will decrease significantly
