I don't understand your analysis. I use ext-gwt and mvc and found it pretty easy to split code [I call the dispatcher via History just add the controllers to the dispatcher via the normal GWT split mechanism so they are only loaded if needed]. I am not a splitting guru so don't have any hard numbers on initial loads, but yeah you can split the code. I really haven't gone through the process iteratively (as GWT says is necessary) but already have about a 50% reduction.
