Use case: a data object has some methods that only the server needs. I'm currently using my own tool to create patched versions of a class with server-only code. It removes methods annotated with @GwtIgnore and places the result so that it overrides the server version whenever GWT is involved.
Is this the best way of solving this problem? Maybe inheritance can be used (adding the additional methods to a server-only subclass), but that does not solve this issue if an inheritance chain is involved and several members of that chain have server-only code.
