There are no specific requirements, but you will find it easier to learn GWT if you are already a Java programmer. Also, Eclipse is not necessary, but it's much easier to develop GWT applications using Eclipse. Next, you will find that GWT is much easier to understand if you have an understanding of JavaScript and DHTML/DOM.
