What do you mean by "send data"?

Do you mean: the client makes a call, and I used to return a String
(which worked), now I try to return a List<Employee>, and it doesn't
work?

If so, your problem is probably that you have only declared Employee
on the Server side, which makes it impossible for your client code to
use it.

Have you declared Employee as conforming to the GWT RPC
serialization? If not, you can't possibly send an Employee Object via
GWT RPC.
