I would not recommend adopting the change branch changes/vinays/gwt-googe-maps-v3 unless you are a glutton for punishment. We are taking liberties with changing the API.
If think you really need Maps v3 and you wnat to start now, use the http://code.google.com/p/gwt-google-maps-v3/ project. This project is not officially maintained by Google, but it is open source. If you want something that is blessed as being official by Google, use the http://code.google.com/p/gwt-google-apis project. -Eric.
