Hi, We're not aware of any way to disable the time out. It appears to be hard coded into each device or sync client.
At present we're aware of time outs on Nokia devices, most of which are the 62xx series of devices (6230, 6233, 6280 etc). There are other Nokia's that don't appear to be affected, mostly series 60 style devices (E and N series for example). These must have a higher value set for their time-out value. Also, devices from Sony Ericsson, for example, don't appear to suffer from this time-out problem. I myself use a Sony Ericsson W810i and have synced this without experiencing any time out problems.
