My username is walidg and I'm a new user as of Tuesday. I downloaded Softick PPP and managed to get it to work across my firewall by putting the proxy server IP, port and authentication information in the Blazer application, whcih I used to test that PPP alone works. Then I tried doing the same in GOOSYNC and finally got it to work by putting in the IP and port using the colon notation inside GOOSYNC for both http and SOCKS. In the end it only worked once, and all subsequent sybc attempts led to a failure that has the following properties:
- The "Sync log" in "My Device" on goosync.com shows that the sync has started but does not show that it is finished - The Treo 650 needs to be reset as it is completely unresponsive after it says "Waiting..." - The ppptrace.log file on my C drive ends with things like "send thread shutdown - timeout shuuting down threads - device released - shutdown completed" I would appreciate any hints on how to fuirther diagnose or debug this issue (which may be related to multiple proxies at my site of which some are not configured for the protocols you use) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GooSync" group.
