Hi If you are unable to establish a connection to GooSync to sync on your phone with a built-in SyncML client such as a Nokia, Sony Ericisson, Motorola phone please check the following :-
You may have tried to automatic configured your device using the automatic configuration message from the GooSync web site. If you did not receive the SMS message within half an hour, it may mean you have entered the wrong phone number or more likely your network provider is blocking the text message. The configuration messages are just for configuring your device. They are NOT sync credits. If after two txt messages, you don't receive the SMS messages, you probably will never receive them. If you cannot auto-configure your device automatically you can configure your device manually :- http://www.goosync.com/help.aspx#dcfaq5 Please consult your phone manual and search for server synchronization settings to locate the sync settings menu on your device. They are located on different menus on every phone. |f you are can't find the synchronization settings on your phone, it may be that your device is not SyncML compatible and cannot be used with GooSync. GooSync works with devices that support SyncML 1.1 and above. Once you have configured your device, please confirm that you have a sync profile with the following settings :- Sync server URL: http://www.goosync.com/sync/sync.aspx Username: Your GooSync username Password: Your GooSync password Calendar database: Calendar Ensure that you have also authenticated successfully with Google on the My Google page on the GooSync web site. On your device, under your sync profile, there should be a Synchronize option to start the sync. If the sync fails, please check that you have internet access on your phone. GooSync needs to establish an internet connection in order to sync. Can you use the web browser on your device? You may need to change your network settings/access point to establish a connection. If you are unable to establish an internet connection, contact your network provider. Some network providers block SyncML messages on the default access point and you will need to contact them to obtain a different access point. Check your sync logs on the My Device page. If you can connect to GooSync, you should see messages shown in your sync log. Give that a try and let us know how you get on! Sorry - at the moment there is no US phone support.
