i have an old Compaq Armada e500 (PII 400) with a MS Wireless B card for internet and 320MB of Ram and ATi Rage Mobile. I am trying to figure out how to get the wireless card working with the gOS Rocket E Live CD first before I commit to installing it. So,
1. gOS recognizes the card and has all the drivers for it. 2. Using wottsitnamed, Excite or whatever, I have configured the wireless networking with all the appropriate essid name, encryption, password, etc, which then recognizes the network and as far as I can tell, logs me on. 3. and I get nothing. I fire up Firefox and get nada. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. Why is this so hard? gOS should be pretty easy and straightforward, and while I'm new to Linux, I consider myself to be pretty computer savvy. so, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
