I'm using gOS 3 for two weeks and noticed soon that the slider bar for volume control isn't appearing. The problem is the wrong permission (744) given to 'Range' directory under the gOS3 theme directory, keeping ordinary users from reading image files in the directory. To fix,
$ sudo chmod 755 /usr/share/themes/gOS3_Theme/gtk-2.0/Range or a+x in place of 755. Cheers.
