Anything over 1GHZ and running atleast 256 MB of RAM. > 2. Are device drivers needed for basic hardware (such as a > motherboard), or will gOS pick up and install the drivers > automatically? I'm used to installing Windows, and it will "natively" > support some hardware. Sometimes drivers can even be downloaded from > the Windows Update Site. However I'm also familiar with downloading > drivers from different venders such as ATI or Creative Labs etc... Device drivers are picked up from the Linux kernel automatically. Upon an installation of your system any Drivers you may need to be installed that worked automatically picked up can be obtained from the manufacturers site or from the Hardware Drivers dialog in your Administration settings. 95% of x86 compatible hardware works on the gOS system as Linux has amazing hardware support. In many ways its better than Windows with its support for older hardware. > 3. My ISP currently has a google gadget that is used to help their > customers monitor bandwidth usage. You may want to check the Google Gadgets website at the below location or contact your isp and ask if they can send the Gadget over to you if it is not listed on the Google Desktop Gadgets download page. http://desktop.google.com/plugins/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gOS Linux" group.
