I had problem playing video file. After I read something about the
xorg.conf, I check my computer xorg.conf and find that there was only
one line in the device section: Identifier "configured video device".
So I copied the device section from the old gOS 2.90M to the gOS 3.0.
Identifier "Generic Video Card"
Driver "via"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
Option "NoDDCValue"
Option "DisplayHardwareLayout" "LCD+CRT"
Option "Activedevice" "LCD,DVI"
Option "PanelID" "8"
#Option "DISPLAY_3DScaling_LCD"
Option "ForceLCD"
VendorName "VIA Tech"
BoardName "via"
When I reboot, an error message: "Your screen and graphics card could
not be detected correctly to use higher resolutions, visual effects or
multiple screen, you have to configure the display yourself." When I
click configure, the gOS continue to load.
I check the synaptic manager and found that VIA drivers : xserver-xorg-
video-via and xserver-xorg-video-openchrome were installed. Using the
device manger and found the vga controller as CX700MZ UniChrome PRO II
Graphic.
What did I do wrong and how can I fix it? Please help.
