I'm trying to install gos and have been having problems. 1. I have a HP TX2500 which has problems installing ubuntu 8.04 which gos is based off of. To circumvent this problem I can boot 8.04 with "acpi=off" but every time I try that in gos it just hangs on a completely blank screen like it's waiting for me to input something.
2. I just tried booting to the livecd via the non-grahpical interface without acpi=off, and got this: http://oregonstate.edu/~hewlettd/ubuntu/PIC-0005.jpg right after that it says something like "terminating all other processes" and kicks out to the gos loading bar for a second and then turns itself off. Anyone know where i can go from here? I'm all about self help so if someone can just direct me I'll be happy to figure it out on my own.
