Two things: 1. Burn the Live/InstallCD at 4x, tops and then
2. Boot the live/CD using the "safe graphics" mode. 3. Install gOS 4. After install complete, if you still get the "blank screen of death", reboot the PC and when you see the GRUB prompt press <ESC>. Choose the reconfigure stuff option, and then choose 're-configure the X server' or equivalent. 5. Reboot! Rejoice!
