Hi Cheng, RedHat is a 'non-free' as in money Linux distro. You would need to buy it. It's primarily aimed at the business desktop and so is a little behind (in versions of applications) but apparently very stable and well supported.
I like Fedora, which is the community branch. It has a very appealing default graphic user interface (GUI) and again is well supported by the community around it. My reasons for initially using Ubuntu where that it worked with my graphics tablet and the drivers for my webcam were installable through Synaptic (both of which were pointed out to me by a very kind person at my local user group, SLUG)...so I've continued using it since. Fedora could well be 'there' now, but I'm not inclined to change as I've no reason to. As Graham wrote: >Personally, I don't like Fedora or any other variety of Red Hat's >systems but don't let that put you off - choice is what Linux is all >about. He's quite right. People's personal Linux choices (like mine) are often based on preferences of how the distro works/or doesn't, what it looks like or what the community is like :))) and choice is what Linux is all about.
