Hi all,

I'm seeking comments for proposed changes to the existing privacy hub at
www.mozilla.org/privacy. The proposed new version is currently on our demo
server here: https://www-demo1.allizom.org/en-US/privacy/. These suggested
changes were explored by Mozillians over the last year because our existing
policies are pretty long and sometimes hard to understand (for example,
Firefox's policy is over 14 pages long).

The proposed changes are:

(1) Consolidating the parts of our various privacy policies that are the same
into a "Mozilla Privacy Policy". We placed this on the landing page of our
privacy hub for users to easily access. You can see this on the demo server at
https://www-demo1.allizom.org/en-US/privacy/

(2) Creating individual "Privacy Notices" that describe specific data
collection, use, and choices that apply to individual products or services. You
can see this on the right hand side of the demo server. We layered the Privacy
Notices in a new format with topic sentences, bullet points, and optional
sections to learn more.

(3) As an example, you can compare the old and new versions of two policies
here:

Existing Mozilla Websites Privacy Policy =
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/policies/websites/
Proposed revised privacy notice =
https://www-demo1.allizom.org/en-US/privacy/websites/

Existing Firefox Privacy Policy =
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/legal/privacy/firefox.html
Proposed revised privacy notice =
https://www-demo1.allizom.org/en-US/privacy/firefox/

We're seeking feedback before transitioning all of our privacy policies into
the revised format. As of now many products, like Marketplace and Persona, are
still in the old format.

Please let us know what you think of the revised format. Our current plan is to
implement these changes this month.

We welcome any questions or input you have. Thanks for helping us with this.

Cheers,
Mika
