In such a case, whether or not the firestorm grew to the point at which the CEO eventually decided to resign, I do think there would have been, early on, a strong statement from the top level at Mozilla saying that Mozilla believes such pressure is wrong or at least that it's misguided and counter to Mozilla's principles of inclusion. I believe that the top people at Mozilla do believe it's wrong, and obviously many other Mozillians do, but we never got such a statement from the top.
